Texans Schedule and Random Mumblings

Each February immediately following the Pro Bowl we get treated to who our favorite teams will be matched up against the following season. Unfortunately we're stuck waiting for the schedule until at least the draft in April. Imagine my excitement when I found out the Patriots were coming to town. Having grown up in New York I do feel a little bit of an attachment to the teams of the Northeast, but I digress. Without further ado, here is the full schedule for the Texans:

Preseason:
Aug 15 HOUSTON at Kansas City
Aug 22 New Orleans at HOUSTON
Aug 31 Minnesota at HOUSTON
Sep 04 HOUSTON at Tampa Bay

Regular Season
Sep 13 New York Jets at HOUSTON
Sep 20 HOUSTON at Tennessee
Sep 27 Jacksonville at HOUSTON
Oct 04 Oakland at HOUSTON
Oct 11 HOUSTON at Arizona
Oct 18 HOUSTON at Cincinnati
Oct 25 San Francisco at HOUSTON
Nov 01 HOUSTON at Buffalo
Nov 08 HOUSTON at Indianapolis
Nov 15 Bye
Nov 23 Tennessee at HOUSTON
Nov 29 Indianapolis at HOUSTON
Dec 06 HOUSTON at Jacksonville
Dec 13 Seattle at HOUSTON
Dec 20 HOUSTON at St. Louis
Dec 27 HOUSTON at Miami
Jan 03 New England at HOUSTON

Tonight starts the preseason for the Texans. In fact, the game just started. There are high hopes for the Texans to get in the playoffs for the first time this year. Athlon Sports has the Texans going in to the 6th seed of the playoffs and 3rd in the AFC South. They could go higher as Payton Manning was looking very much like a mortal man last night, but I digress...

On a side note, Athlon Sports has the Vikings going 3rd in the NFC North and not making the playoffs. I'm curious to see what Mardi has to say about that. Oh yeah, don't forget that week 3 Preseason matchup... that should be interesting to see how Sage handles himself in that one.

There will be more to come as right now I just want to watch the game. Have fun, everybody.
