12 of 15 passes for 202 yards, scoring two touchdowns! That's right the Vikings quarterback had some awesome stats from Friday nights game. Oh but wait, that's not a number 4 we saw out there, it's #7 Tarvaris Jackson. Let's take a look at Favre's stats, 1 of 4 for four yards. That is not a typo, it's truly four yards. John David Booty had better stats. Aren't we glad we paid 12 million for that!? All right enough of that.
The Vikings showed a good game Friday night, there were a couple tense moments. Even a couple times I caught my breath. All in all it was a good game and a good learning experience. The defense has some work to do, they were not showing tip top shape as predicted. Again, we must remember this is preseason and a time to learn and grow. I think if Childress plays his cards right we can definitely see the Vikings succeeding this season.
Now let's talk about that game on Saturday..... Oh what's that 38 - 14...... Wow, that's awesome, if your not a Texan. The Saints owned the Texans on Saturday. I didn't get to watch the game but I caught some highlights. I am going to leave this one to my counterpart to explain.
